Basic Rules and Boundaries

I reserve my rights to personal space. Though I have a public persona, I reserve my right to take my time with responding to all messages from social media to emails/ Discord DM. Commissioned work will take precedent in a professional capacity. Thank you for understanding and giving me space! I also reserve rights to show commissioned work in my portfolio and post on my social media sites.

My puppet design services are priced to work with an existing character design. If you do not have an existing character design, additional research time will be charged by the hour. Design revisions will also incur additional charges, so please try to be clear and send any image references possible.
We recommend using a cloud service to store images/notes- Trello is a wonderful tool to help with making lists.

All likenesses to real people are coincidental, if not done in parody.

Who we are

GrifnMore is a collaborative effort from an artist named Ryan Griffin and his Twitch community, whose goal is to deliver quality entertainment to those interested in Adobe Character Animator, Twitch streaming, and animation in general. We mainly want to deliver content one-way, but interaction with this website will mean that you will share some personal information. For comments and messages sent in contact forms, the contact information is stored only for use with Ryan Griffin privately. When using the shop, information about payments and shipping will be shared with Printful for fulfillment. We will cover what’s collected from both parties.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/ – After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Payment info is entirely handled off-site, the most we gather are names/emails for the Mailchimp newsletter subscription connected to the shop on this site. We use Mailchimp to help deliver updates and free content to followers, and the mailing list is stored privately.

Contact forms

Information sent from forms is sent to a secure, private inbox. This is only used internally, for correspondence with the user to answer a question or respond with a price quote. Contact information will only be stored with consent– we will never use or sell an email address that sent a private message. 

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. Their policy will take precedence.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

What’s your return/refund policy?

Since we are only offering digital goods currently, we do not provide refunds for most products. If you get broken or incorrect content, we can offer an exchange or replacement.

We only offer exchanges in a case noted like above, but if there’s something wrong with your order, please let us know by contacting us through the inquiry page!  

Analytics

Visitor traffic data is tracked with Google Analytics- as noted above about Embedded content, Google’s policy is the bottom line. Their data collection might include your name, and use cookies to track site usage. You can read more about Google’s Policy and relationship with GDPR and disclosures in their documentation

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Otherwise, only the data you choose to disclose will be sent in a private message to Ryan Griffin in order to calculate commission costs for custom art. Comments are unique in that you will disclose your username publicly. We will ask for explicit consent regarding subscription sign-ups, or any other peripheral features.
